OVERVIEW
Toubkal is a high mountain region in Morocco, with steep valleys, Berber villages and rocky ridges rising towards the country’s highest peak. Mule paths and seasonal farming remain part of the landscape. The relationship between high atlas valleys, village trails and north africa’s highest summit across a demanding mountain region close to the city and mountain region gives the wider destination a distinctive structure beyond its principal visitor area.
Multi day trekking is the main attraction, while altitude, snow and heat vary strongly by season. Local guides and village stays provide essential cultural and practical context. Spending time with both high atlas valleys and village trails and north africa’s highest summit across a demanding mountain region close to the city reveals more of the destination than focusing only on its best known sights.
