Some links on Everbound are affiliate links.

An affiliate link is a link containing information that allows a third-party provider or affiliate network to recognise that a visitor reached its website through Everbound.

When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying booking or purchase, Everbound may receive:

• a commission;

• a referral fee;

• another commercial payment; or

At launch, Everbound may use affiliate links connected with:

5. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Using an affiliate link will not normally increase the price you pay.

However, all prices, fees, taxes, availability, exchange rates, booking conditions and payment terms are determined by the relevant third-party provider.

Everbound does not control the provider’s final price.

The price and information shown by the provider at the time of booking take precedence over any estimate or information displayed by Everbound.

6. HOW AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIPS MAY AFFECT CONTENT

Affiliate relationships may influence:

• which travel providers are linked from Everbound;

• which booking options are available;

• the placement or prominence of certain links;

• the order in which providers appear;

• which products or services can be displayed; and

• whether Everbound receives commission from a booking or purchase.

The presence of an affiliate link does not mean that the linked provider is necessarily:

• the cheapest option;

• the best-rated option;

• the only available option; or

• the most suitable option for your circumstances.

You should compare relevant providers and review their terms before booking.

7. EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

Everbound aims to provide useful destination information, trip-cost estimates and travel-planning tools.

Affiliate relationships do not guarantee a favourable review, rating, recommendation or destination assessment.

Our destination content and planning information may be based on:

• independently researched information;

• third-party data;

• historical or average prices;

• calculation models;

• seasonal assumptions;

• licensed information; and

• editorial judgement.

However, commercial relationships may affect which booking partners and external links are made available.

Where content is specifically sponsored, paid for or controlled by a commercial partner, it will be identified separately as advertising or sponsored content.

8. TRIP-COST ESTIMATES

Everbound displays estimated trip costs for general comparison and planning purposes.

These estimates may include costs relating to:

• food and drink;

• local transport.

Estimated costs are not binding quotations or guarantees that a trip can be booked at the displayed price.

Affiliate commission is separate from the calculation of the final price charged by a third-party provider.

You should always check the provider’s final price, availability, inclusions, exclusions and booking conditions before completing a purchase.

9. THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS

Everbound does not currently complete bookings or accept payment for travel services directly.

When you follow an affiliate link:

• you leave Everbound;

• you enter a website operated by a third party;

• any booking is made directly with that third party;

• the third party’s terms and privacy policy apply; and

• the third party is responsible for the booking, payment, cancellation, refund and delivery of its services.

Everbound is not a party to the booking contract between you and the third-party provider unless expressly stated otherwise.

10. AFFILIATE TRACKING

Affiliate links may contain:

• affiliate identification numbers;

• referral parameters;

• campaign identifiers;

• click identifiers;

• destination or product information;

• travel-search details; and

• other attribution information.

Affiliate providers or networks may use cookies or similar technologies to determine whether a booking or purchase resulted from a referral by Everbound.

Everbound may receive reports containing information such as:

• numbers of clicks;

• qualifying bookings or purchases;

• transaction values;

• commission amounts;

• pseudonymous referral or transaction identifiers.

The absence of a fee charged directly to you does not mean that Everbound receives no commercial benefit from the referral.

12. SPONSORED CONTENT AND PAID PLACEMENTS

Everbound does not currently publish paid destination rankings or sponsored destination articles unless they are clearly identified.

If sponsored content, paid placements or commercial partnerships are introduced, we will label them clearly using wording such as:

• Advertisement;

• Ad;

• Sponsored;

• Paid partnership; or

• another clear description of the commercial relationship.

We will not rely solely on this general Affiliate Disclosure to identify an individual piece of sponsored content.
