OVERVIEW

Odzala-Kokoua is a vast protected rainforest region in the Republic of the Congo, combining dense forest, rivers and open clearings rich in minerals. Western lowland gorillas, forest elephants and numerous primates inhabit an ecosystem with very little conventional infrastructure. River and forest belong to the same connected landscape, although they often feel distinct on arrival.
