OVERVIEW
Moalboal is a small coastal town on Cebu, with dive resorts, residential neighbourhoods and fishing activity spread along the shoreline. Reefs begin close to shore and support abundant marine life. The wider destination extends from waterfalls towards reef, with local communities occupying the ground between them. The destination is physically divided between reef and neighbourhoods, with roads and settlements linking the two.
Snorkelling and diving provide the main appeal, especially around the famous sardine aggregation. Waterfalls and rural roads add variety beyond the coast. Conditions around reefs can differ noticeably from reef, so flexible timing improves the overall experience, with waterfalls providing an additional point of connection. Waterfalls provides the most immediate experience, while reefs offers a quieter and more local perspective.
