OVERVIEW
Kutná Hora is a historic town in central Czechia, shaped by medieval silver mining and royal patronage. Churches, merchant houses and former mining sites remain spread across a compact but hilly centre. Settlement follows the relationship between museums and residential districts, which remains visible beyond the main visitor routes, with residential districts providing an additional point of connection.
The cathedral and ossuary attract most visitors, yet the old streets and mining museum provide a fuller understanding. Staying beyond the main day trip hours reveals a much calmer town. Quiet residential streets and valley views provide balance beyond the monumental churches. The relationship between museums and residential districts becomes clearest when the destination is explored over more than one area.
