OVERVIEW
Caye Caulker is a narrow coral island with no conventional cars and a compact settlement of guesthouses, cafés and wooden homes. A channel divides the developed southern section from quieter mangrove-covered land to the north. The surrounding reef lies offshore and provides the main focus for snorkelling, diving and sailing.
Walking, bicycles and golf carts are enough for everyday movement, reinforcing the island’s informal scale. Boat trips reach coral gardens, rays and sharks, while the shoreline itself has limited broad beach. Evenings are sociable but low-key, centred on waterfront bars and seafood rather than large nightlife venues.

Cruise Caye Caulker’s main waterways
Choose a boat trip that gives a clear view of Caye Caulker’s main waterways and the surrounding landscape. Routes and operating periods vary, so confirm the departure point and current schedule.
Taste local seafood in Caye Caulker
Use Caye Caulker’s local seafood as a starting point for tasting food connected to Caye Caulker, choosing regional dishes or produce rather than a generic international meal. Opening days may shape the plan.
Spend an evening in Caye Caulker
