OVERVIEW

Cannon Beach is a compact seaside town on the northern Oregon coast, centred on a wide beach dominated by Haystack Rock. Low-rise shops, galleries and restaurants sit behind the dunes, while forested headlands and smaller coves frame the shoreline. The town has retained a restrained scale despite its popularity.

Low tide exposes pools around the sea stack, where seabirds and marine life can be observed from the beach. Coastal trails climb through spruce forest to viewpoints above the ocean.
