OVERVIEW
Ronda is a small town in Andalusia, built on a rocky plateau split by a narrow gorge. White houses, old churches and residential streets extend on both sides, linked by monumental bridges above the river. Farmland and olive groves surround the rocky plateau. The transition between farmland and residential districts remains visible across the wider destination, especially away from the busiest routes.
Walking the rim reveals the town’s relationship with the surrounding mountains and farmland. Day visitors are numerous, but evenings and nearby rural roads offer a calmer and more local atmosphere. River draws most attention, while churches provides a quieter and more local dimension. Local roads draws most attention, while mountains provides a quieter and more local dimension.
