OVERVIEW
Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands, with a low limestone landscape, developed western shoreline and extensive coral reefs. George Town provides the main commercial centre, while resorts and residential districts line the coast. The interior contains wetlands, quiet roads and small communities. Beaches and island interior belong to the same connected landscape, although they often feel distinct on arrival.
Shore diving and snorkelling are excellent, while the main beach is broad and highly developed. Restaurants and services are sophisticated, though prices are high. Quieter eastern districts provide a less polished view of island life. Wetlands provides the most immediate experience, while coast offers a quieter and more local perspective.

THINGS TO DO
Snorkel at Boatswain’s Beach
Snorkel around Boatswain’s Beach only when sea conditions and access are suitable. Use local guidance where currents or reefs are unfamiliar, and never promise particular marine-life sightings. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
Spend time at Cemetery Beach rather than treating every nearby beach as interchangeable. Swimming conditions, access and facilities can vary, so check locally before entering the water. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
Dive at Reef Grill at Royal Palms
Dive around Reef Grill at Royal Palms with an operator suited to your certification and experience. Visibility, currents and access change with conditions, and particular sightings are never guaranteed.
