OVERVIEW
Cornwall occupies the far south-west of Britain, with a long coast of cliffs, coves, beaches and small harbour towns. Inland areas contain moorland, former mining landscapes and rural villages, while the milder south coast feels more sheltered than the exposed north. Distances are greater than the map often suggests.
Walking the coast path, visiting fishing communities and exploring industrial heritage provide very different experiences. Summer roads and parking can be crowded, especially near famous beaches and villages. Choosing one part of the peninsula allows more time for local food, coastal walks and quieter stretches beyond the best-known stops.

THINGS TO DO
Taste local food around Seafood
Use Seafood as a starting point for tasting food connected to Cornwall, choosing regional dishes or produce rather than a generic international meal. Opening days may shape the plan. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
Trace local history at Tintagel Castle
Use Tintagel Castle to understand a specific part of Cornwall’s past rather than viewing it without context. Allow time for interpretation, not only the most photographed exterior. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
Relax at South West Coast Path
Spend time at South West Coast Path rather than treating every nearby beach as interchangeable. Swimming conditions, access and facilities can vary, so check locally before entering the water. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
