OVERVIEW
Camiguin is a compact volcanic island with several peaks rising from a narrow coastal plain. Roads circle the shore past villages, beaches and old church ruins, while waterfalls and hot springs lie on the forested slopes. A white sandbar offshore and coral-rich waters add a strong marine element to the island’s inland scenery.
Short distances make it possible to combine hiking, swimming and coastal stops without long journeys. The summit routes are demanding, but lower waterfalls and springs provide easier access to the volcanic landscape. Tourism remains relatively small in scale, and farming communities, fishing villages and local festivals remain visible beyond the main natural attractions.
