Bozcaada

Bozcaada is a compact island near the entrance to the Dardanelles, centred on a harbour town of stone houses, narrow streets and a large coastal fortress. Vineyards cover much of the dry interior, while beaches and rocky coves ring the coast. The island has long reflected both Greek and Turkish cultural influences.

Local wineries, seafood restaurants and evening walks around the harbour shape much of the experience. Bicycles and scooters provide easy access to beaches and rural roads, though summer traffic can be busy. Outside peak weeks, the island feels quieter and more agricultural, with wind, vines and open sea dominating the landscape.
