OVERVIEW
Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines, best known for a long west-facing beach of fine white sand. Hotels, restaurants and shops line the shore, while quieter beaches and residential areas occupy the opposite side and northern end. Development is dense, but the island remains easy to cross by road.
Days centre on swimming, sailing and water sports, followed by busy evenings along the beachfront. The main beach can be crowded, especially at sunset, while eastern shores attract kitesurfers in the windy season. Quieter coves provide some relief, but this is fundamentally a social resort destination rather than a remote island escape.

THINGS TO DO
Sail around Parasailing on a route suited to the day’s weather and your experience. Confirm the departure point and whether the trip is seasonal before planning around it. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
Spend an evening in Boracay
Spend an evening around Boracay’s main evening district, choosing venues that fit the local scene rather than assuming every district offers the same atmosphere. Opening nights and late transport can vary.
Spend time at White Beach rather than treating every nearby beach as interchangeable. Swimming conditions, access and facilities can vary, so check locally before entering the water. Choose it only if it fits your base and route.
