OVERVIEW
Bukovel is a large mountain resort in the Ukrainian Carpathians, developed around a network of ski slopes, hotels and artificial lakes. Facilities are modern and concentrated, while surrounding villages retain wooden houses, churches and Hutsul cultural traditions. Forested ridges provide the main setting in every season.
Winter is dominated by skiing and snowboarding, with extensive lift access and active evening venues. Summer brings cycling, hiking, spa use and lakeside recreation. The resort can feel highly commercial, but nearby valleys and villages offer a more traditional mountain experience beyond the central development.
